This is a game that seemed to be more of a promotional stunt done by Bungie to try to keep the spotlight on them more. You take the roll as a ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) and you are your squad get shot down and are descending onto the planet, when things go wrong and every one of the team members gets split up. Now its up the the Rookie to find his squad mates and what their fates where. You play as the Rookie as you are just becoming a ODST but soon must take on great responsibilities. The biggest hit to this game was Firefight mode.
Which is like Horde mode for Gears of War 2. It became a very hard challenge and offered people a new experience. The campaign was rather short but had some affect on what else happened where master chief was not at. You get to see a city get ravaged and devastated. And with the addition of then new covenant force a Engineer, they gave all the covenant forces overshields including grunts and drones within its radius. The only weakness they have is to charge a plasma pistol shot and hit them with it, in which they overload and explode, though the pieces that fly from it explode on impact so look out.
Now the other big thing to this game was the Silenced SMG and the Pistol was back with a scope on it and was also silent. Another change was that you had to use Night Vision in some areas, and you could see invisible Brute Stalkers extremely easier. If you were stealth on this game it usually did pay off. Bungie made it to wear if you were using a silenced weapon they would not know where the shot had come from so they would go and scout around. Now the AI become much smarter in terms of battling and knew what to do more often then they did in Halo 3. The main thing that came with this game was for a Beta code to Halo: Reach when the beta launched and for the Halo 3 Multiplayer Disk which came with EVERY Halo 3 map with all expansion maps, including 3 new ones on the Mythic Map Pack II, which wasnt released until not to long ago. So having this was a big advantage.

The new step in this series. It is going to be made by Treynarch which is the other company that also uses the Call of Duty title name. They made Call of Duty: World at War, which put people back in WWII yet again. The biggest hit of this game was not the multiplayer or the campaign, but it was the nazi zombie mode that made this famous. So for Black Ops you guessed it, zombie mode is back but with Vietnam this time being featured in it. The games story mode is supposed to be jumping in between differnt wars so who knows if the story line will be good or not. The multiplayer does look promising however. In the trailers for the game they have people that are wielding a knife and another that is holding a crossbow. These weapons are a lot different then the common weapons we are used to seeing in war. Though their is supposed to be many weapons these two are completely different and could be very fun to use. It is rumored that you can only use the 3 default killstreaks and you can not change these kill streaks. Radar, a little car that you drive and have to blow up people with it, and another. Maybe they will add a few more to the list for you to have some customization. Now the reason they are not doing it like Modern Warfare 2 is because of the reason behind it being that their is balancing issues in MW2 with certain things. Like the killstreaks for example, some of them blow while others rock and higher levels always had better killstreaks which always is not fair to beginners. Now with only having a limited number of killstreaks everyone has a fair chance of winning and getting killstreaks. Everyone loves the feeling of getting a killstreak. So i believe that is their plan is just to have a more balanced game then MW2. This game is supposed to rival MW2 in multiplayer so who knows.
Halo: Reach.
This is a shooter series that has revolutionized gaming as a whole. The series has made millions of dollars with this series. This is Bungie's last halo game though before they are done with this series. They plan on going out with a bang that will leave the crowd with something very thrilling and pleasing. The campaign is supposed to be very stellar and have many more AI per screen then ever before seen in any game. In the 4th mission of this game you drive in 1 of 12 warthogs shown on screen driving in a formation, as banshees swoop down on you postion taking out warthogs around you. They can be many more enemies on screen on this game, and even they are introducing space battles. Enemies are becoming very smarter also. The new multiplayer is a huge change from halo 3 to halo reach. Introducing armor abilities, new game types, new vehicles, and new maps. Including an old favorite Blood Gulch. Bungie has said this is easily their biggest map yet. So your going to see a map easily bigger then only blood gulch and valhalla. The new customization of armor is more advanced also. No longer will you have to earn achievements to unlock certain armor. Instead you earn credits after each game. This is partially like the experience you get on modern warfare 2. But the twist is you can earn credits in campaign mode and in firefight mode also. So yea firefight mode is back with all its goodness. Except this time with enhanced graphics and smarter enemies. The gun sounds on this game are far more realistic than their previous predecessors. They also plan on having a daily challenge you can do for extra bonus credits for example: Beat a mission on legendary mode with catch skull on, then you will get bonus credits for this. My opinion on why they are using a credit system is because people that do no have fast enough internet to play online now have a chance to unlock all armor types if they can only LAN and split screen. Now also they will probally have a differnt credit earn for split screen and online multiplayer to eliminate any possible power leveling the credits. The beta they launched was a big hit and helped ODST a lot more then it proboly would have done. Firefight was the biggest hit for ODST and that is the reason they are still using it.
