Kinetic Review

Well I got the kinetic for Christmas this year as one of the gifts I received. Now when I first got the box it seemed pretty big but I thought it was just padding and stuff.

But no actually the kintetic is quite a big piece of equipment to get and use, it has 3 camera's in the front and also has a microphone built in. They say to put it above or below your tv, but for many of us that have flat screens, putting the kinetic on top of it is no easy feat. It does register better if you do put it up higher for me anyways. The inital setup was quite simple and easy however and the kintetic sensor can actually swivel to adjust it self even more, it startled me at first cause i didnt expect it to actually move around on the stand.

The size - If you have seen a wii sensor its rather skinny and slim but of course it is only for picking up IR signals and not track body movement. Howver in total the kintetic is about 2.5 times as tall as a wii sensor and about 2 times the depth of one. Plus the kinetic even has vents on it because it gets rather hot after extended use.

I played the game I got with the kinetic, called "Kinetic Adventures" I am still in the workings of reviewing it however and that will most likely come in for tommorw. The kinetic however seems to have trouble with tracking at times, and also to add to it you need a HUGE space to play in, I know many of my friends rooms that are much smaller then mine and they would not even be able to play it in their own room because they wouldnt have enough space because you have to be at LEAST 6 feet away from the sensor itself. My room is only roughly 12-14 feet long and i have to take account for my bed also, which knocks it down to roughly 8 feet of movement space which it cant seem to track people very well when it gets closer to the 6 foot mark. The tracking can be kind of clunky at times especially on the dashboard and the pause menu when you try to move the cursor around sometimes it will disappear randomly and get extremely jumpy and get confused on which hand you are using. Hopefully they will attempt to fix some of these issues.

Not many hardcore fans of games will like the kinetic as of right now, they have yet to release very many games for it taking that software designers are just now learning the basics and how the kinetic tracks things, and they are trying to implement them into the game. However with nothing to actually track like we are used to having. Microsoft took a huge gamble, so far its off to a sort of rough start. The price fixture is another issue taking its about the price of a xbox 360 itself. Their is many bugs, and getting the tracking down for every single game is going to take a while, because the kinetic does have potential but it seems that maybe microsoft may have rushed it just to compete with the playstation move. The kinetic does have potential it just seems the tracking isnt always dead on and can be very jumpy at times, and some serious gamers could have some issues with paying such a high price for a piece of equipment such as this and then have this many issues. Hope fully in 2011 they will focus their attention on fixing the bugs instead of focusing on games for it.

God of War III

Sorry I have not been on in a while, I am going to try to get on at least once every 3 days to keep you up on reviews of games and what not. Hope you all vote me to the top. The faster I move up and rank and what not, the more I will post.

~What I know believe is that a blog about reviewing, shouldnt be super long. It should give people the core details about a game, and leave it at that, with some interesting facts about the game, but leave the rest to explore once you get the game yourself.

God of War III-
This game was a very promising game, if you have followed the entire God of War series so far, this is the best of the series with extremely polished graphics and game play. The entire game keeps you enticed into the game's story line.

The boss battles are far more challenging in this one then they were in the first one. Including the last boss. I am trying not to give any spoilers to the games plot line. But the main plot of this story line is Krato's and his quest to find and open pandora's box yet. But he needs the key which happens to be a girl named Pandora. This is about the only game I have seen him to show affection to someone also. Overall the storyline played out really well, though it seemed as if the puzzles in this game were easier to figure out then they were in the first 2. All in all however though the game took much time and effort to make and payed off.

After you beat this game you unlock something called "Trails of Olympus" and once you pass these trials you can go to the areana. I believe the areana was on God of War II, also, however I am not certain. But these trails are by no means easy, and vary in multiple tasks that Krato's most do in this modified "sumo" circle. I may upload tricks and tips here soon so yes, be ready for them if I do. After you beat all of the trails however you get to go onto the areana finaly. The areana spawns enemies in a "wave". You must kill each wave in order to proceed to the next wave. Each wave spawns more enimies or just makes them tougher enemies to kill. You must see how long you can last against the forces. Their is a lot of after game content BUT you must find that actually after game content in the game, then beat the game to use all of the stuff you found.

Campaign - 9.5
After Content - 8 (Even though the stuff can be hard and fun at times... it does get repetitive with no hope of doing anything new after the areana, still fun for hours or even if you have just a little bit of spare time)
Overall - 9.0

~~~~ Good Solid Game ~~~~~
*Repeatable Campaign is basically a must for hardcore fans and the graphics are amazing
*Playabilty - FLAWLESS, barely any glitches cept for end boss.
