COD3 review
its here, finally a call of duty 3 review.
I must say i have never played the first one but i did play COD2. so i hope my knowledge base is good enough for you.
first off i must say that I played the heck ot of COD2. i got it during the christmas period of last year and played it all through christmas.
This year, i just wasnt feeling the christmas spirit. how could i if i wasnt throwing grenades in bunkers?
What else could the christmas season be around for?! besides the birth of christ, grenades has to be at least number 2 on my list of things
to do during the christmas season.
Anyway how is COD3?
Im sure that if you are reading this you have probably seen the 360/ps3/wii comparison video. and yes, 360 viewed it the best. I dont care what you say lol.
Ok....now down to the nitty gritty.
Starting out, once again you have a training session with some guy. same thing as cod2 just a little differant. visually thoguh...im sorry to say, there isnt that much improvment.
I was thinking halo1 to halo2 graphic changes. But thats not what happened. the change was feasable but not impressive. the hype is just the hype.
gameplay, pritty much the same, im sure there is a new gun in there somewhere but i havent played cod2 in soo long i wouldnt be able to tell you.
The cut scenes however are better than last time. also not by much, the changes are very marginal.
also with sound, if its better, then its just marginal. germans still say the same things as do the other soldiers.
its kind of wierd to think about really. this is the 3rd in a series. how can they make 3 games about the exact same thing? Its kind of over kill you know. its like the rocky movies.
there are only so many punches to go around, eventually you have to start repeating yourself.
Plus sides that really stood out though, tank tracks! people were saying. wow if you walk on the grass you leave a path of crushed grass behind you.
those poeple are liers! they were probably paid to say that. however the tanks do leave a crushed grass path behind them. You can tell its kinda cheaply done, but if your not looking
for it you dont see it.
you can drive cars now too! WOOP. but not through out the whole game. It isnt like halo2 multiplayer out there. its just in specific areas where the story takes you. and its not all vehicles either
its just a car.
Best thing of the game though is the ability to use the mortar weapons. that was freaking sweet. the way you control it is well done too, really i just like the sound it makes
alright onto multiplayer.
nearly non existant. you couldnt play it if you had 30 minutes to spare, only if you have all day and you really want to play multiplayer then you can jump in.
Why? because you have to wait 20-60 minutes to get into a game. i dont know how this went soo wrong, it was great in COD2 now all the sudden...nothing!
WIKIDI WAK!
so who shoudl get this game. If your a total fanatic and will get the game no matter what i or anyone says. then you should get this game. even if its crapola you are still gonna love it.
If you want to get it coz you loved COD2 multiplayer and want to play COD3 multiplayer...you probably should stay away from it.
If you thoguht COD2 was fun but it isnt your favorite game. then you probably shouldnt get it either.
The way i see it is liek this.... After you have played it and its been a couple of months will you bring it back out and rock some germans with it? no
I would go back to COD2 but COD3 is a nisch nisch.
thats it from me.
I have a gears of war review comming up too.
so look out for that.
