Say Hello To Halo 3:ODST's Engineer

If you have played any of the Halo games you might be familiar with the iconic overshield. Whenever you possess it you fearlessly approach your enemies either in multiplayer combat or single player campaign with a sense of invincibilty. Now if your enemies have an overshield you think twice before charging them head on. Oh yes the overshield is a powerful tool indeed. So imagine seeing a floating covenant MONSTER handing out overshields to every single one of your bullet stoppers. That my friends is what the covenant engineer in ODST does. I don't know about you guys but if I see a hunter and an engineer in the same level I will let my good old ODST troopers handle that one. Luckily the engineer is only a defensive unit in the game. I do not consider myself a great Halo player (although I am definitely ODST up) so I don't even want to think about how I will fare against these pesky floating critters in legendary mode but what about you the readers? Do you think you have what it takes to take down a group of brutes aided by these annoying bastards?

u know u can kill them?
i think here is an achievement both for killing all of of them and/or not killing any of them, and for the later the over-shields are only active within a certain radius and only when it is alerted to danger

You shoot plasma at them and once their shields are down they go up and explode. Be careful though, the first explosion causes another chain reaction of explosions. And yes I also saw that part where the brutes hold up one of them to put a bomb or something in it. Actually at the end of the game you learn something interesting about them. Stick around for the review coming up in the next few days for more info.
